Boston Medical Aesthetics is proud to announce that we now offer Morpheus8 Radiofrequency Microneedling, a minimally invasive treatment that restores and rejuvenates your skin for a more youthful appearance. This popular device utilizes cutting-edge technology to induce and accelerate collagen production, a natural biological process that enhances skin texture, pigmentation, and contour on the face or body. Ask the providers at Boston Medical Aesthetics more about Morpheus8 for clinically proven, youthful-looking results.
Morpheus8 Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling is an innovative take on a classic aesthetic procedure. For years, aestheticians have used microneedling to promote the skin’s natural healing abilities by inserting tiny needles into the skin. The needles cause micro-lesions in the skin, triggering restorative changes in skin cells to improve your overall look.
Morpheus8 has revolutionized microneedling, starting with the needles themselves, which penetrate to a deeper level of the skin than traditional microneedling. In addition to the depth, the needles deliver a burst of radiofrequency energy, which activates a natural healing cascade that increases collagen and elastin. This improves the overall appearance of the skin’s texture and shrinks pores. Morpheus8 also reduces skin irregularities such as fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation issues. Morpheus8 is a versatile microneedling treatment that can be used for various conditions across your body. When you come in for a consultation at Boston Medical Aesthetics, we will help you determine the best treatment method for each of your concerns. Morpheus8 can be used to treat the following:
Candidates for Morpheus8 RF Microneedling should be in good health. Recent radiation therapy, implanted defibrillator or pacemakers, pregnancy, and hypertrophic scarring are contraindications. Treatments can not be performed over areas with tattoos, any active inflammation, or infection. Patients should avoid having neurotoxins injected within seven days and dermal fillers injected within three weeks prior to treatment. Patients should also discontinue a topical retinoid (if used) for three to four days before the treatment.
The appointment will begin with an application of a topical anesthetic cream. The Morpheus8 RF procedure itself takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the treatment plan you have selected. Your provider will evaluate and select an individualized plan of care with specific energy settings to maintain safety while optimizing your results. After the completion of the procedure, the provider will apply soothing cooling pads and hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin.
Morpheus8 RF Microneedling treatments require very little recovery time. You may experience certain minor side effects like redness, itching, or swelling in the treatment area, which typically resolve within 24-48 hours after the treatment.
We suggest that you stay out of the sun for several days and avoid strenuous exercise the day after your treatment. You should avoid oil-based skincare products and makeup after Morpheus8 for one to two days. Our trained providers will outline a recommended post-treatment skincare regimen.
Morpheus8 works best in a series of three treatments over three months. Many patients see results within 6-8 weeks after their initial treatment, with improving results after each subsequent treatment.
Once you have finished the treatment series, you should expect your final results within three to six months, and may continue to see improvements over time as collagen and elastin tighten your skin. Morpheus8 may be combined with other procedures to create a comprehensive plan to keep skin looking smoother and younger for years to come!
