While that might have raised some eyebrows, I never felt comfortable following the "more is better" mentality. At Boston Medical Aesthetics, my goal has always been to enhance natural beauty, not change it—and that means being conservative and thoughtful with every treatment plan.
Fast forward to today, and the industry is experiencing what I like to call a "rubber band effect." After years of trending toward bigger and fuller results, there's been a strong pull back toward the natural look. Patients are now expressing concerns about overfilling, and in many ways, the filler market is facing a bit of backlash.
The good news for us? We don't have to backtrack. Staying true to our philosophy has always meant prioritizing subtlety and balance. We've often discouraged patients from pursuing large amounts of filler, believing it's better to under-correct and add more later if needed. That approach not only creates more beautiful, natural outcomes — it also helps patients feel confident that their individual features are respected and celebrated.
